Mason’s Ceviche Bonefish Fly

This fly has quickly emerged as a “don’t leave home without it” Bonefish fly on our hosted saltwater trip. We like the weight, size, and it is highly effective in shallow water or deep water as long as tidal currents are not too powerful.

The bead-chain eyes are a nice happy medium. We love this fly in water less than 2′ deep, but in Christmas Island it tends to be on the light side if the water is pushing. Tailing fish however? Perfect choice.
